188 SQN Family Day 11 SEP 2009

*Copied from my wife’s blog* http://memoriesofgrowingup.blogspot.com/2009/09/188-squadron-family-day-11092009.html

So many years since the first day we together, I yet to see Hb’s working environment! There’s open houses on some occasions but I was not keen coz of the crowd! Imagine under hot sun with tons of people! pengz

This time, it is different. Coz today, it’s specially for the family of 188 Squadron crews! Less people BUT restrictions can be a bit turnoff.

Initially I was still thinking whether to go or not. Coz if we go, J would have to skip his class at Zoophonics. Then again, I want him to see where his Papa works and the environment.

It’s all worth it! We left home at around 7.45am to hitch a ride from Hb’s colleague. This way, we need not to queue for the chartered bus. *Thanks for Leow*

Weather was bad coz it’s drizzling when we left home. While waiting at the auditorium, we were told that it was raining outside! So we stayed in to watch a movie.

It’s not a bad thing for the wet day. Coz afterwhich, it’s cool and breezy! Thank goodness!! Hb showed us around on 88 Victory.

I was pretty shocked to see how limited space room be it the corridor, the rooms, kitchen. The most surprising would be their sleeping dormitory! These guys are really superb! I wonder how I can sleep there.

Overall, I really enjoyed myself and seeing so many things. I bet J also enjoyed himself too! He played some games, had candy floss, Polaroid in the Navy Number One uniform and of coz, the many kor kors and uncles who chatted with him!

Pictures time!
