MTU course

After 3 weeks of theory, dismantling, measuring, assembling and lots of fun and laughter, we finally completed our gruelling course under the watchful and patient guidance of Mr Hans-Gerd von Albedyhll. He taught us many many stuff which to us, were not taught by our seniors. Now that we know that every thing inside a MTU engine has a reason for being there, a special tool to use and many knowledge to it, i will try my best to impart to future generation. Thanks Mr Hans.

Suntec City Joaquim Porridge Buffet

We decided to have our lunch there on a weekend afternoon, long time no dine with Jaylen's Ah Ye. (Esp this is Ah Ye's fav food)

They offer porridge buffet for lunch 11am to 4pm. $9.80 for weekdays lunch ($12.80 for weekends).

Verdict : Good food at Good price. i love the hainan stew lamb chops, curry chicken, braised duck, 3 types of porridge. many varieties of food there (heard from my dad the menu changes)

Back to school!

Finally, after so many years of hard working, im back to a classroom today for the next 3 weeks.

Its a chance to learn more and recharge my batteries.

To gain more knowledge and to impart to future generation, maybe?

Im going to clear all the doubts i have had over the past 11 years. Been operating and maintaining the engine but without proper course attended. All current knowledge were either by mouth or self-taught by reading manuals and through experience.

Lunch provided daily (7 course chinese) @ $12 per head

Endless Coffee/Tea/Cappucino/Milo/Green Tea available just outside the classroom!

What a good welfare company MTU is.

This 4 course western dinner is supposedly to be worth $156 for 2. (We got this for the free gift when we bought our Canon IXUS 860 IS)
Restaurant - Magical Kingdom @ The Jewel Box

1st Dish - Creme la Mushroom with rock hard baguette and Anchor butter

2nd Dish - Mixed wild vegetables salad with tad sour dressing

3rd Dish for me - Grilled chicken breast on baked mixed vegetables with wedges

3rd Dish for Mrs - Grilled dory fillet on bed of mash potatoes and baked mixed vegetables

4th Dish - Chocolate brownie with sour berries sauce

Coffee for me (Taste very normal, like what you get at kopitiam)

Tea for Mrs

Footnotes:

The dinner was so-so, think i had better food elsewhere. however, the chicken breast was very well done, not dry and very moist and juicy. The decor was alright, as it was in the middle of the festive season mood decoration. Al fresco dinning on a rainy day with mosquitoes all over. what a turn off.

Will we return again?

No, i don't think so. honestly speaking, i think i had better food elsewhere. looking at the menu, $ not appealing and the hassle of travelling there. only bright note is that the Iced Pinot Noir is nice and at a great price. you can't get it elsewhere at the price and quality.
