At 2.30pm, we took Jaylen's temperature and the reading (using ear thermometer) shot up to 38.5degrees! As for the armpit thermometer, it reads, 38.13degress!! This is very dangerous coz he is having fever. We monitor him for the next 3hrs and his temperature coming down. We carried on monitoring til 6pm before i say better send him to KKH 24hrs Children coz his temperature fluctuating up and down.
We maybe over-reacting BUT BABY WITH FEVER IS NO JOKE! Furthermore, he's only 17days old! Still very young.
His temperature taken at KKH is 37.5degrees and this is considered as fever. Doc said that it maybe due to virus attack. So we had to admit him to hospital for monitoring. Once in the Ward, the Doc on Duty came to take his blood test. The way they squeeze his little heel for blood, really breaks my heart. He was wailing very very loud and I think he cried for at least 5mins! Poor boy. Had to go through this trauma at such a young age.

Finally, i was able to carry him by myself. of course, he was nicely wrapped up so it was easy. im so suprised that i did it and that he didnt cry or reject me. he looked so fragile and small. i was having major heart beating while carrying him. haha.

His new 'bed'
I decided to give Wasabi something to sleep on. Hoping that he will not snatch our quilt in the middle of the night! haha.. The two pieces of cloth are from the doll bed we bought for Misha ( which she has not been sleeping on it! )
